Be A Gopal

Our mind, with its likes and dislikes, our behavioural patterns and personality, is a small mind. It is associated with us. There is a Big Mind which is associated with the whole creation.

Sometimes the Big Mind wins over the small mind and sometimes, it is the other way around.
When the small mind wins over, it causes misery, and when the Big Mind wins, it causes joy. The small mind promises joy but leaves your hands empty. The Big Mind, on the other hand, might bring resistance in the beginning, but eventually fills you with joy.

When the mind contracts, when it is unhappy, time appears to be too long. When the mind expands, when it is happy, time appears to be too short.

When the mind is in equanimity, it transcends time. Just like the mind experiences time, this moment has a mind of its own, a Big Mind which has enormous and infinite organizing power. Thought is nothing but a ripple in this moment, and thus a few moments of samadhi give the mind a lot of energy.

Like fish in the water, you are in air. Thoughts are in the mind. The mind is in Big Mind. The Big Mind in me is love. Emotions are ripples in love. Love is all Knowledge. Every atom of the Big Mind is crammed with Knowledge. Knowing this, you stop seeking. You seek until you come to the Master. You walk until you come to the ocean. You don’t walk or run in the ocean — you swim or float. Once you come to the Master, the seeking stops and blossoming begins. You are Knowledge. Every atom in you is shimmering with Knowledge.

Be a Gopal. Be a friend in Knowledge. Go has four meanings: Knowledge, Movement, Achievement, Freedom. Pal means friend or protector — one who takes care of you. Often, you become friends by gossiping about negative things or complaining or due to similar cravings or aversions or common enemies, problems, goals, addictions. Coming together in Knowledge is rare. You become friends because you have something in common.

Be a friend in Knowledge. Uplift each other in Knowledge. That is a Gopal.
