Zaheer’s best is behind him

It is obvious that the Indian pace spearhead’s form is on a decline. Astrologically too, it will be an obliterating path for Zaheer Khan from now. The Baroda pacer has an excellent horoscope with Jupiter and ‘Planet-Y’ in exaltation. He also has Mars and Venus in conjunction, an ideal combination for a tearaway fast bowler. Joel Garner, Malcolm Marshal, Michael Holding and Dennis Lillee have the same configuration in their horoscopes.

Also, Zak’s personal planets are in the passionate Scorpio and the perfectionist Virgo. No wonder, Zaheer became a master in swinging the new ball and reversing the old.

The best years of Zaheer’s career were from 2005 to 2011, when he was going through the period of Jupiter and ‘Planet-Y’. The zenith of his career was the important role that he played in India’s victory in the 2011 World Cup.

He was born to do that and be immortalised in the history of Indian cricket. But now that he has completed his karmic peak success period, it would be only downhill for the left-arm pacer. Saturn got exalted in 2012 and is not favourable for Zaheer. He has already lost the zip in his bowling.

Zaheer would be the chink in the armour for Dhoni in the ongoing World Twenty20 and the skipper would be forced to look for alternatives midway into the tournament. Zaheer would see himself sidelined by his IPL team RCB too in the coming season.

His performances in theTests may not be exemplary either. He would come a cropper against the visiting England squad and the series against Australia in February 2013 may be the swansong for the old warhorse.
