Inner Truth: The Master and the Disciple

Inner Truth: The Master and the Disciple

With regards to purification through love and surrender: the Master is the divine Beloved; and when the disciple meets the Master, all that has to be done is to love him/her. For if the disciple loves the Master out of the fullness of the heart, the final union with the Master is assured. The disciple need not worry about the quality of the love. He/she should love despite his/her weaknesses and not wait to purify the heart first. The Master is the very source of purity and to set one's heart  on the Master is the beginning of self-purification. When the disciple has wholehearted devotion for the Master, he/she opens themselves to the reception of the divine love that the Master pours on them. All the disciple's weaknesses are consumed  in this fire of divine love of which he/she thus becomes the recipient. If the disciple is to be free from all weaknesses and attain incorruptible and infinite purity, he/she has to dedicate their life to the Master without any reservations or provisions. The disciples must offer their weaknesses as well as strengths, vices as well as virtues. The self surrender should be so complete as to allow no room in one's mind for even a shadow of any secret self-desire.
