5 point something: We should legalise the world’s oldest profession...

1. The brain naturally craves for four things —water, food, sleep and sex. Our society is shy to even discuss the fourth though we come from the land of the Kamasutra. Why should we legally deny it to two consenting adults even if it involves an exchange of money?
    
2. Sex workers will get access to healthcare, insurance, a safe working condition and freedom from the grasps of pimps who most often resort to violence and abuse.
    
3. Some people sell their dignity and respect while building business empires and producing products that are harmful. We admire them but we look down upon a sex worker who wants to feed her family?
    
4. Who does it benefit by maintaining it as illegal? Think real hard. Then think about why they should benefit from it being illegal.
    
5. The number of rapes, physical abuse, eve teasing and other activities that demean women would drastically come down if men who cannot find a willing partner had access to paid sex without society looking down upon it.
