Will cut VAT on fuels: Vijay Rupani

The Gujarat government will reduce the value added tax (VAT) on fuels like petrol and diesel in a day or two, Chief Minister Vijay Rupani said during BJP's Gujarat Gaurav Yatra at Una town in Saurashtra region on Wednesday.

However, the chief minister did not specify how much will be the reduction. Rupani's announcement came a day after the central government brought a reduction of Rs 2 on fuel rates. This reduction is with effect from Wednesday.
