Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani visited Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday in New Delhi. This was Rupani’s first visit to national capital after assuming the charge of Gujarat CM after the recent assembly polls. Rupani also met BJP chief Amit Shah on Monday night. The CM discussed political agendas taking upcoming assembly session on state and the state budget.

Sources in CMO said, “As the meeting between leaders was behind a closed door, it is tough to make any speculation but it is natural that CM should have taken the guidance from the PM and Shah on the upcoming assembly session and the state budget. The opposition’s strength in-house has gone up and the state government may face the criticism over looming shortage of water and drying up of Narmada river.”

The CM held meetings with the President Ram Nath Kovind, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu and Gujarat cadre officials on central deputation. These meetings were held on Monday evening. CM Rupani also attended the traditional and religious folk fair of Shivratri in Junagadh on Tuesday. He performed pooja at famous Bhavnath temple and visited Sadhus and Mahants of different Akhadas here.
