Chief Minister Vijay Rupani described as ‘victory of truth’ dismissal of the PIL seeking an independent probe into the alleged mysterious death of special CBI judge BH Loya by the Supreme Court.

Rupani said that the PIL was a conspiracy by Congress and its president Rahul Gandhi to malign BJP president Amit Shah.

“The Congress left no stone unturned as a part of the conspiracy to link Amitbhai Shah with the unfortunate death of judge Loya in an attempt to end his political career. The Congress had made similar attempts in 2010 to malign Amitbhai’s name by dragging his name in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case,” Rupani, who is believed to be close to the BJP president, said.

The Chief Minister said that the Supreme Court’s dismissal of the PIL exposes the Congress’s attempts to do politics even in the apex court.

Rupani, who took over as CM for the second time in December, said that BJP was in power in 21 states, while Congress had lost faith of the people.

“The political conspiracy was a desperate attempt by the Congress, but the party now stands exposed,” he added. Congress leader Arjun Modhwadia, however, described Rupani’s comments as laughable, saying the PIL was filed by the Bombay Bar Association and family members of judge Loya.
