Uttarayan turned tragic for four Amdavadis after they fell to their death from terraces.

A total of 162 people with injuries were admitted to AMC-run hospitals over the past two days.

Of the four dead, the youngest was an eight-year-old boy, Devarsh Vaghela, a resident of Shahpur area.

Vaghela succumbed to head injuries at VS Hospital. Twenty-nine-year-old Ankit Raval breathed his last at LG Hospital after he suffered head injuries.

Javed Baloch, 38, passed away at VS Hospital after suffering a fracture. The fourth deceased was a Maninagar resident.

LG Hospital reported the highest number of injured patients, 78, on Sunday and Monday, of which 73 have been discharged and five are still under treatment. VS Hospital discharged 35 of 42 admitted on Sunday.

At Sharda hospital, a total of 42 people were admitted with injuries, of which 38 have been discharged.

A statement issued by the AMC said most of the patients fell from the terrace or suffered cuts by the thread.
