Two minor sisters raped in Dholera

In a shocking incident, when the rest of Gujarat was celebrating Navratri, two minor siblings were allegedly raped by two youths when they were sleeping on the terrace of their house in Dholera Taluka's Khoon village.

The village is situated some 110 kilometer South West of Ahmedabad. Two minor sisters, Anokhi and Ananya (names changed) were asleep on the terrace of their house on Friday night. "At the time of the incident, the mother was sleeping on the ground floor and father had gone to attend a religious sermon in the village," said SM Jadeja, Sub Inspector, Dholera Police.

Jadeja added that the two accused, Vishnu Vasani and Haresh Vasani, had threatened the girls of dire consequences if they told anyone about the incident. Two days later, on Monday, the sisters finally confided in their mother after the pain became unbearable. According to the FIR filed by the family, Vishnu is 19-years-old and Haresh is 20.

The case is registered under relevant sections and a manhunt to nab the accused has been launched. Both victims have been sent to Ahmedabad Civil Hospital for a medical test, Jadeja added.
