Three held with charas worth Rs 1.5 cr by the Narcotic Control Bureau

Two of them were from Vadodara and one of them was a resident of Surat

Three people were arrested by the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) for allegedly smuggling drugs like charas on Friday morning.

They were apprehended near the Karjan Chowkdi in an Alto Car number GJ 19 AF  9243 after the bureau got a tip-off. The officials apprehended the three named Fakir Salim Shah, Hanifbhai, Allah Rakha. They were apprehended with charas of 14 kilos. The market value of these drugs amounts to at least rupees 1.5 crore.

Two of them were from Vadodara and one of them was a resident of Surat. Faqir Salim Shah, another Vadodara resident, had earlier also been caught before in NDPS in Vadodara.

“The bureau got a tip-off from sources and got to know that this consignment was being delivered. They have been taken into custody and will be interrogated. There have been several cases of smuggling have also been registered in Vadodara. Many had also been uncovered when people in the Nigerian gang were apprehended In the Vadodara Railway station,” shared Hari On Gandhi, zonal director of NCB Ahmedabad.  The consignment was delivered by a drug dealer based in Kashmir, regarding matter the official has started an investigation.
