Those within Congress who did not work to make party candidates win will have to face disciplinary action, said Congress President Rahul Gandhi in Ahmedabad on Saturday. He also assured that those who had worked for the party will be rewarded and that the grand old party also has a bright future.

"We fought with love and we have won," he said adding that during the course of the campaign, Congress was successful in bursting myth about development during Narendra Modi's rule in Gujarat. "Inspite of asking so many questions, the PM was not able to reply," he said.

Gujarat Congress in-charge Ashok Gehlot said that PM Modi and BJP President Amit Shah had a tough time countering the onslaught of Congress and they had to take resort to sea plane and 'Son of the Soil' aspects to emotionally appeal to the masses.

He said that the situation has changed in Gujarat and the countdown has begun for BJP, which will be reflected in the 2019 polls.
