Ahmedabad Crime Branch on Friday arrested the third shooter for allegedly killing one Suresh Shah near Vishweshwar temple in Vasna on March 10. Ravu Khachar, a resident of Chotila, is one of the bike-borne assailants who allegedly gunned down Shah, police said after his arrest.

The cops said main conspirator Rajendra Shekwa had given a contract of Rs 50lakh to kill Shah.

There were five accused in executing the crime, out of which three have been nabbed. Elam Khan and Rafiq Sumra were arrested by the Crime Branch on April 1, who allegedly took the contract and hired Khachar and another shooter.

Khan and Sumra also used Shekwa's car to locate Shah, police said. Shekwa has run out of the radar of the cops. Khachar is the key lead that could take us to Shekwa and the other shooter, crime branch officer.
