Kishor Kudecha’s joy knew no bounds. No not because he had been praised to the skies for having stitched some wonderful designer clothes but because his daughter had come out with flying colours in the class XII board exams.

With Chitra having scored 93 per cent and 99.99 percentile in commerce in the class XII board exams, her father, an ordinary tailor at his relative’s place who even works out of home to make ends meet, was simply over the moon.

Her simplicity and positive thinking towards studies made her achieve the remarkable feat, said her father, an ordinary tailor who works at his relative’s place.

“I am glad to see that she has achieved her goal without asking any money for studies from us. She studied independently in class XII. We are proud to have a daughter like her,” said Chitra’s mother Prafulla Kudecha, tears of joy welling up in her eyes.

“Her hard work and effort have paid off. We will encourage Chitra to carry on with her studies as she wants to become an IAS officer,” added the proud mother.

“I did not want to burden my father with bearing the expenses for my studies. So, I cleared my class XII on management scholarship, which I got for scoring over 90 per cent in class X. I dream of becoming an IAS officer and that too with the help of a scholarship,” said Chitra.

The girl credits her parents and schoolteachers, who gave her tuition, guidelines and motivated her.

“My teachers and parents are my motivation. I drew inspiration from a book named Chanakya and my role model Bhagat Singh. All these helped me during my exams,” she said.
