A Surti youth has prepared unique data security software that not only prevents hacking, but has other features as well. The system has been approved by Microsoft.

Mayur Chavda, an MCA graduate, has prepared 256-bit AES encryption based data security software, named FxCrypor, possessing a variety of features. With FxCryptor, one can store data with password protection schemes like text, file, USB, photo and songs. The new system also has features like secure zip, secure mail, secure delete and virus protection. Chavda has developed the software with technical support from Microsoft.

“Since data security is a concern for users, I have decided to develop a totally different security system to solve the problem. The main feature is 256-bit encryption that is of military level. Data secured is impossible to crack and neither destroyed data can be recovered,” said Chavda.

According to Chavda, the new software was tested by Chinese hackers and they, too, failed to crack it. After analysing results of the software, it got a certificate from Microsoft.

Chavda took over four years to develop the software. Priced at Rs4500, it has to be renewed after two years. At present, Chavda is working on an upgraded version of FxCryptor, which is securing information on Google drive.
