SpiceJet Surat-Delhi flight forced to land at Ahmedabad

Flight SEJ474 was carrying 164 passengers and no one was injured during the incident

A Surat to Delhi SpiceJet flight made an emergency landing at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport (SVPI) in Ahmedabad early on Tuesday morning after the pilot saw that the tail fire warning light was on. Fire emergency services at the airport and an emergency team immediately rushed to the landing area. Flight SEJ474 was carrying 164 passengers and no one was injured during the incident.

Airport director Manoj Gangal said, "When our ATC (Air Traffic Control) was informed about the emergency landing, a full emergency – enlisting crash fire tenders and ambulances – was declared at 5.46 am. The aircraft safely landed at 5.58 am and the full emergency was withdrawn at 6.08 am."
