Seven IAS officers, six of whom were promoted from the state civil services, were transferred by the state government on Saturday.
The government also issued transfer orders of 77 Gujarat Administrative Service (GAS) cadre officers.
A release said that GA Shah, additional secretary in education department, has been appointed as director of municipalities.
Victor Mecwan, director in commissionerate of women & child development, has been appointed as Gandhinagar DDO.
Rajesh Manjhu, commissioner of youth services & cultural activities, has been appointed as joint secretary (budget) in the finance department. Manjhu will also hold additional charge of joint secretary (bureau of public enterprises) in finance department.
KD Kapadia, deputy secretary in social justice & empowerment department, replaces Manjhu as commissioner of youth services & cultural activities. Kapadia will also hold additional charge as commissioner of entertainment tax.
RG Trivedi, director of social defence, has been appointed as deputy secretary (law & order) in home department. DG Patel, secretary of Gujarat State Commissioner for Protection of Child Rights, has been appointed as director in commissionerate of women & child development.
JK Astik, director of civil supplies, has been appointed as Surendranagar DDO. He is replaced by GC Brahmbhatt, currently posted as CEO of Development Support Agency of Gujarat.
As far as GAS officers are concerned, 31 officers of selection scale/senior scale, and 46 officers of senior scale, who were promoted in December 2012, have been transferred. The 46 officers were given in-situ promotions but postings against GAS (senior scale) posts were not given at the relevant time.
