The police remand of Narayan Sai and his aide Hanuman was extended by two more days on Wednesday as the police demanded some more time to collect evidence against the duo.

While demanding remand, government pleader Nayan Sukhadwala threw light on Sai’s character saying he had even admitted to being in a relationship with the victim. He also told the court that Sai had been involved in similar relationships with eight other sadhikas and the police needed time to collect proof regarding this. Also, the police have to trace laptop, cell phones, dongle, video-camera and i-pad used by Sai.

Sukhadwala also said that as Sai was not cooperating with the police, the court should extend his remand as well as that of Hauman. Describing the entire case as planned, Sukhadwala said it was necessary for the police to find out every minute detail in the case.

Opposing the remand, Sai’s advocate Kalpesh Desai said the Surat police were using all kinds of tactics to keep his client in their custody. He also questioned the attitude of the police, including the investigating officer.  The police have summoned Sai’s driver Vishnu and cook Arjun, too.

Sources said the police were also planning to summon Monika Agarwal, who allegedly used to supply girls to Sai.
