Refrain from indulging in negative campaigning

BJP national unit launched the Information Communication Campaigning Committee (ICCC) recently. This would be implemented in Gujarat, too.

An ICCC meeting was held in New Delhi on July 26 where over 250 delegates, conveners and leaders of the BJP’s social media cell took part. Presiding over the meeting, party veteran Arun Jaitley emphasised the use of social media.

Sources said the party was planning to deploy social media cadres in the state unit of the ICCC, too Their job would be to boost Modi’s image as a man of development for 2014 Lok Sabha election campaigning.

They added that Jaitley had advised cadres to refrain from indulging in negative campaigning against the PM, Sonia Gandhi and members of the Gandhi family and told them to react only if Congress resorted to negative campaigning.

State BJP project Kemp (Karyakarta Empowerment Programme) is likely to be implemented at the national level, too. Modi had implemented it during the assembly election last year. The conveners have to bring all problems to Modi’s notice via Kemp software developed Modi’s IT team.
