Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani made said on Friday that society, today, needs more schools than temples. He was speaking on the occasion of school enrollment drive programme held on Friday at Saputara town in Dangs district. The CM made this statement amidst the talks going on BJP's poll promise of building Ram Mandir in Ayodhya has become the talk of the nation.

CM Rupani inaugurated newly prepared school by the organization run by spiritual discourser Rameshbhai Oza. The Sandipani Vidya Sankool was inaugurated and newly enrolled kids were welcomed by the CM under state government's two days school enrollment drive to give a push to 100% literacy and reduce drop out ratio in Gujarat.

CM Rupani said, "The spiritual leaders believe to build temples so that their devotees keep increasing but Rameshbhai Oza has set the example by building a school for society. Today's society needs schools more than the temples. This is the area dominated by the tribal community and former CM Anandiben Patel when was leading the state government, could successfully engage Rameshbhai in such a great task and today we saw results that hundreds of tribal children would get education facilities here."

Former CM and Madhya Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel was also present at the event. She said that her government took the decision to engage social and religious institutions to develop educational institutes in interior parts of state.
