Parents association to demand strict law like PASA, TADA to deal with education mafias

Several parents associations of the city have decided to approach the government demanding stringent action against the school management, which has been charging fees beyond the Act and who had sought donation from new admissions. In a meeting held on Tuesday, to discuss the further discourse of a Bandh on January 12, Jagega Gujarat Sangharsh Samiti, Samast Vali Mandal, Parents Ekta Manch, All Gujarat Parents association, Shisksha Raksha association, Aadhar Foundation, Ghatlodia Parents Association, and others have decided that the fees taken by the schools beyond what has been mentioned in the Act should be returned within 10 days.

Amit Panchal from Ghatlodia Parents Association said, "Most schools have already taken the third and fourth quarter of fees from the parents. For new admissions, many schools even charged donation which is illegal as per law. We will be approaching the government to take action against schools and form stringent laws like TADA and PASA to deal with education mafias in the city.
