The PAAS leader said that he was going to approach the Adalaj Police and submit an application for a probe into the threat call

Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) convener Dinesh Bambhania, a close associate of Patidar agitation leader Hardik Patel, alleged on Monday that he had received threats to kidnap his son.
Bambhania told reporters that he had received threat on his phone from an unidentified caller on Monday morning who had threatened that his son Drashya would be kidnapped from school.
The PAAS leader alleged that he had received the call from the number 8268883857 and that the caller was Gujarati-speaking.
"He asked me why we are working to defeat the BJP in the coming elections, and threatened to kidnap my son from school. He also used abusive words for Umiya Mata," Bambhania said.
DNA tried to reach out to the caller on the above number several times for a comment, but the calls did not go through.
The PAAS leader said that he was going to approach the Adalaj Police and submit an application for a probe into the threat call.
JG Vaghela, inspector of Adalaj police station, said, "We have received a written application from Bambhania stating he received a call from someone warning him that if he doesn't stops his protests, his son would not return home from the school. We have started investigation and the identity of the caller would be ascertained soon."
The incident comes a day after Congress announced its list of candidates for 77 seats in Gujarat. As soon as the list was announced, agitated PAAS and Congress workers had clashed near Congress office in Surat and several other places in the state .
The BJP also released its third list of candidates for 28 seats on Monday.
