Minister of State for Home Pradipsinh Jadeja said on Wednesday that no person responsible for the PSI's suicide would be spared. Jadeja said that the state government is treating it as a sensitive case.
He said that the probe has already been handed over to the crime branch, and Ahmedabad commissioner of police is constantly monitoring the investigation. Jadeja also said that the suicide note recovered from the deceased PSI is also being looked at.
The suicide of PSI Devendrasinh Rathod was also discussed in the weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday, and Chief Minister Vijay Rupani described the incident as sad.
The Uttar Bharatiya Vikas Parishad, an organisation of north Indian migrants living in the state, demanded strict action against Dy SP NP Patel for the suicide. The outfit's president Shyamsingh Thakur demanded an FIR be lodged against the Dy SP.
