Man knocked dead while crossing road

A man met with a fatal accident while he was crossing the road in Chandlodia area on Wednesday. According to police, the victim was hit by a speeding vehicle, which fled the spot after the incident took place. Ghatlodia police , who have lodged a hit-and-run case in the matter, said they are trying to nail the killer through CCTV footage.

A complaint was lodged by Mukesh Solanki, of Vadaj, the victim's uncle. The deceased, Piyush Solanki, used to work for Parle Speed Marketing company. On Wednesday afternoon, Piyush had gone to Chandlodia area to deliver products. Piyush was declared dead when he was rushed to a private hospital.
