The Gandhinagar police on Tuesday identified six more accused in the LRD paper leak case. The names were revealed by one of the members of the Gujarat paper leak case, Suresh Pandya, who was arrested from Naroda on Sunday. Pandya was given a ten-day remand. All the six are currently wanted in the case.

So far, 40 people — including those who leaked the papers belonging to Delhi and Gujarat, and the students who paid to get the papers have been arrested.

According to the police, there is a possibility that around 30 more accused are involved in the matter. The number of accused from Haryana and Delhi is large while of those from Gujarat it is less. Those who had arranged the leaked papers for the 28 students, those who had gone to Delhi to see the question paper, will also be arrested in the matter. The statements of the hotel management where the students stayed during the visit, will be taken, drivers who picked and dropped the students to their location will be also questioned.

The police have recovered around 15 CCTV footages till now during the investigation of the places where the accused have visited. Apart from that, from the Gujarat-based gang, two main accused identified as Nilesh Chauhan and Ashwin Parmar are still absconding and search for them is on. Both the accused had a direct link to Manish Sharma, a member of the Delhi gang. Police suspect that Sharma is the person who actually leaked the paper and had supplied it.
