The government seems to have gotten cautious after having suffered a huge setback with the Lok Rakshak Dal (LRD) recruitment test paper leak scandal.

The state government has arranged for three layers of security for the re-test.

According to the police's theory, there was a mole in the place where the test papers were printed. The police, suspecting the hand of someone from the printing agency, had decided to zero in on the agency.

Sources in the government said, "The state government is very cautious this time. Something went wrong during the transportation of papers from the printing press to the board office and further from board office to the exam centres. This is why a triple-layer security has been arranged to ensure security this time."

"The state government has decided to form teams of home department, education department. The combination of officials from different departments will help keeping the papers from falling into the wrong hands because all they would be held responsible is for maintaining the confidentiality of paper envelops," added a senior official.

The state government has also ensured that a team of armed policemen also will be deployed with the officials who have the papers. Finally, the responsibility shall remain of the in-charge of the exam centre once the papers reach there and the seal will be opened in presence of the observers appointed by the government, who again will be government officials or staff.

The chairman of LRD Bharti board (recruitment board) Vikas Sahay refused to comment on this. He said that the entire process should be kept confidential.

Meanwhile, the Gujarat government has also made it clear to all the candidates, who are going to appear for the recruitment test, to stay away from rumours of paper leak or else should not indulge in wrong practices. The government has also issued guidelines for aspirants that they should also stay away from the touts who lure them to get papers or assure selection in jobs.
