Gujarat University has come to the aid of a group of law students who faced difficulty in getting admissions to a masters programme course.

After the university declared semester 6 results, few students took print outs of the result and went to SP University in Anand. However, they were turned down, as the print out did not have any signatures or stamps of the college or university.

The National Students Union of India (NSUI) then made a representation to the examination officer of GU, seeking his intervention. In the letter, the students wrote: "We are students of LLB and after getting our results, we went to SP University in Anand for admission to LLM." "However, the officers refused to accept the print out of result uploaded by the university without signature and stamp of the college."

"When we asked the principal of IM Nanavati Law College for the same, he refused to give his signature and stamp on the print outs.

Additionally, the examination controller also refused to sign and put stamp on the print out of the result."
