The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will declare the results of 2018 JEE (Advanced) examination on Sunday. The exam was conducted on May 20. Candidates who secure all India rank up to 2,24,000 in JEE (Mains) appear for JEE (advanced) conducted by one of the IITs.

While the mains examination is held in a single day over two papers, with each paper being of 180 marks, containing 60 marks for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The IIT Kanpur conducted JEE (Advanced) this year. Seat allocation will be declared on June 19.

JEE (Advanced) results had mired into controversy after three aggrived candidates had knocked the doors of Gujarat High Court, alleging that the clarifications regarding answers of numerical-answer-type questions issued a day after the examination was substantially altered compared to the instructions provided to the candidates 20 minutes before the examination.

However, the HC refused to stay the results citing announcement of results has all India ramification.

This year, a decision was taken to create supernumerary seats specifically for female candidates
