Jayanti Bhanushali murder case: Ex-MLA Chhabil Patel may surrender

Chhabil Patel who is hiding in the US contacted his relative on Tuesday and stated that he is ready to return to Indian and he will get surrender to SIT probing the case.

On Wednesday the Special Investigation Team (SIT) officers who are investigating the Jayanti Bhanushali, former BJP MLA, who was shot dead on Sayaji Nagari Express train on January 7, revealed that the main accused Chhabil Patel is ready to surrender and he will return to Indian soon.

As per senior police official, Chhabil Patel who is hiding in the US contacted his relative on Tuesday and stated that he is ready to return to Indian and he will get surrender to SIT probing the case. Patel has not revealed that dates on which he will be returning, but the officials have already issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) on January 29 for him. So once he reaches any airport in India, the Airport authorities will inform the SIT officials.

Gautam Parmar, DIG Railway stated that "We have got the information for Patel's relatives only that he is ready to surrender and will be returning back to India.

But he hasn't given a date yet, apart from that we are also planning to issue a Red corner notice against him if he doesn't show up."

On March 10, Chhabil Patel's son Sidharath Patel surrendered himself to Special Investigation Team (SIT) office, it was revealed that Sidharath was helping the shooters by giving information about Bhanushali and also helped them during their stay at Chhabil Patel's guest house in Kutch.
