After dwindling performance of flagship course in the Financial Times ranking, the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIMA) seem to have received new hopes. The premier management institute has upgraded its position in The Economist MBA world ranking – 2013— to 39th.
A note issued by the IIMA said that this is sharp improvement for the B-school as last year it has secured 56th position among the rated B-schools.
The communiqué stated that IIMA is the only management schools from India to have found a place in the reputed ranking system since last four years.
It also stated that the institute has made it to the fourth position in the Asia and Australia 2013 regional rankings. IIMA is ranked number one in the criteria like student quality, open new career opportunities, percentage increase in pre-MBA salary, percentage in work three months after graduation and percentage of jobs found through the career services.
