Describing human welfare and development as the sole goal, Gujarat Governor Dr Kamla asked the district and the state administration to remain alert to issues related to people. She also urged the district administration to execute development projects effectively.
“In a democracy, citizens are above all and so the sole goal of the administration should be human development. Issues faced by people are not important, but how the administration solves those are. The administration should focus only on people’s welfare,” said the governor.
Following a meeting with the Valsad district officials at Panas village in Kaprada taluka on Wednesday, she told them that they were bound to get the desired result only if they worked as a team.
Information pertaining to various development projects being carried out by the administration was given to the governor during the meeting.
Earlier in the day, she visited the vegetable collection centre and the cold storage developed under the Tribal Sub-Plan at Nana Pondha in Kaprada taluka. She also visited Ashram Shala and Wadi project at Khuntli village also in that taluka.
Dr Kamla also addressed people at Khuntli, where she asked them to get involved in projects being executed by the administration. In the evening, she visited vocational training centre at Waghaldhara in Valsad taluka.
