Students of the general stream set to take their state board exams in March 2019 have been disappointed with the schedule. Yet again, the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has announced to take two exams in a single day. Class 12 general stream students will have to take their History exam in the morning and Philosophy in the afternoon.

Students claim that there is barely any time left for the students to revise for the next paper and feel refreshed. Parents of the students are likely to approach the state education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama expressing their concerns.

This is not the first time this has happened. Even last year, students had to go through the hectic schedule, said Narayan Bharwad, secretary, National Students Union of India (NSUI). We have given a memorandum to the board officials to not repeat this next year and ensure smooth functioning of the exams."

For HSC general stream, March 7 will have elements of accounting, March 8 will have History and Philosophy, March 9 Statistics, March 11 Geography, March 12 Economics, March 13 Social Science and Business Math, March 14 Psychology and March 23 Political Science and Sociology.
