A case of kidnapping was lodged with the Isanpur police station on Sunday after a 15-year-old resident of the Isanpur area went missing from his house on Saturday evening. The boy was later found at his relative's house and during interrogation, it was revealed that the boy had run away from his house after his father refused to buy him a smartphone and a bike.

As per Isanpur police, the incident took place on Saturday evening at around 8pm. The minor is a student of class 11.

A couple of days back, the minor had asked his father to buy him a new mobile phone and bike. When his father refused, the minor started throwing a tantrum and was scolded by him. On Saturday, he again asked his mother about it, and was scolded by her for his stubborn behaviour. She told him he should get good grades first and then, they would think about it. After being scolded by his parents, the boy ran away from his house.

Regarding the matter, cops had already alerted the minor's relatives about him. On Monday, the boy's grandmother who lives in Maharashtra called his father and informed him that the minor had reached there. After that, the police sent a team to Maharashtra to get him.

Inspector in-charge D R Gohil of Isanpur police station said, "Late on Saturday night, an application was given to the police by the boy's parents in the matter. After 24 hours of search, when we were not able to track down the boy, the case was lodged.

During the investigation we found out that the boy ran away from the house after his father refused to buy him a bike and phone."
