Gujarat – Minimum temperature to drop: IMD

Even as Gujarati new year has started, citizens are unlikely to get respite from high day temperature as the city recorded 35.6 degree Celsius on Monday, which is 2.6 degree Celsius above normal.

Day temperature will continue to rule high during the week at around 36 degree Celsius, according to a forecast of India Meteorological Department (IMD).

However, there will be no significant change in minimum temperature.

City recorded a minimum temperature of 15.6 degree Celsius or 0.5 degree Celsius below normal.

Amreli, in Saurashtra region, was the coolest with 16.2 degree Celsius, followed by Vadodara at 16.4 degree Celsius, while Surat cloaked 17.2 degree Celsius and Rajkot 21.5 degree Celsius.

It is now almost mid of November but day temperatures continue to rule high, even as nights are cooler.
