Jaynarayan Vyas has criticised central government’s decision to appoint Shaktikanta Das as RBI Governor.

The former minister in the Narendra Modi-led state government and senior BJP leader in Gujarat, took to Twitter to criticise Das’s appointment.

Vyas, on Wednesday, posted on Twitter: “The new RBI Governor Das’s educational qualification is MA (History). Hope and pray he doesn’t make RBI also a History. May God bless the new arrival!!”

Vyas, however, talking to DNA, said he did not criticise any of the entities, whether it is the central government or the newly-appointed RBI Governor.

He said, “When finance in the country is not in a good shape due to many outer and inner elements, I showed my concerns for the same through the post. Das, who has served as administrator in the government, cannot fit into the league of economists at global level. So it is my latent fear that has been reflected in the post and not any criticism.”

The former minister has been known for being a diplomatic and intellectual politician in Gujarat BJP, who is also known for his outspokenness.

ANOTHER DIG AT BJP

BJP worker Reshma Patel also criticised PM Modi and Amit Shah on social media, saying the debacle surrounding the state Assembly polls was the result of the ego of several top brass leaders.
