Home department of Gujarat government issued transfer orders of 66 senior police officials serving across the state. The government also transferred six deputy commissioner of police (DCP) level officials in Ahmedabad with this reshuffle.
The list includes 37 district superintendent of police (SP) or DCP level officials, while seven additional SP officials have been shifted with promotion to SP or DCP rank and 22 state police service officials of additional SP or DCP level officers.
Except for Zone V DCP in Ahmedabad, all DCPs have been transferred, that includes DCP of Zone I Divya Mishra, RF Sanghada of zone II, Rahul Tripathi from Zone III, Sweta Shrimali from Zone IV, Rajan Sushra from Zone VI and Traffic DCP Dr. Sudhir Desai.
Jaipal Singh Rathore, IPS from 2010 batch, has been transferred as Zone I DCP in Ahmedabad from the post of Morbi district SP, Panna Momaya who was additional DCP in women's branch in Ahmedabad has been made DCP of Zone II in city. Zone II DCP RF Sanghada has been transferred to Zone III in city. Banaskantha SP Neeraj Kumar Badgujar, an IPS of 2008 batch, has been posted as Zone IV DCP whereas Vadodara rural SP and 2007 batch IAS Saurabh Tolumbia is now the Zone VI DCP in Ahmedabad city.
The government has appointed two DCPs in traffic branch of Ahmedabad city after recent reprimand from Gujarat High Court. Sanjay Kharat and Akshayraj Makwana, IPS officials from 2014 batch, have been promoted to DCP rank from additional SP rank and have been transferred to Ahmedabad city traffic branch.
IPS from 2010 batch and Rajkot Rural SP Antrip Sood has been made SP of anti-terrorist squad in Ahmedabad. Other officials who have been transferred are Mayur J Chavda, SP in intelligence in Gandhinagar is transferred as Gandhinagar SP.
