Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a warm welcome with a flash of mobile lights as soon as he reached the venue of a rally in Vadodara on Sunday evening.
While Modi's speech here too focused on Vikas, he also talked about the need of foreign universities, cheaper stents for heart, bullet train to super class bus station besides ending corruption among others.
He said, "Congress accuses me of working for industrialists." Asking the crowd, he said, "Tell me, do Mukesh Ambani, Nita Ambani, Anil Ambani, Kokilaben Ambani, Ratan Tata or Birla, go to the bus station to board a bus? Vadodara has got a bus station which is better than an airport."
He also thanked the people of Vadodara regarding representation in 2014 polls saying, "Because Vadodara sacrificed, we conquered Uttar Pradesh." He also talked about the Doklam issue and terrorism.
On demonetisation, Modi said, "Congress blamed us that the money has gone back to accounts. But they failed to understand that the money has come with addresses. Demonetisation has revealed faces of those in Kashmir, who wear expensive suits and hold press conferences after receiving hawala money from Pakistan. That entire jamat is in jail today."
He asked the crowd to fulfill his wish. He said, "You would think that if we make all BJP MLA's win, Modi will be happy. No. I will only be happy if lotus blooms in each and every booth."
