Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani who kick started his road show from Naroda on Monday morning received a cold response. Roadshows, which attract a lot of local residents, here only had few locals and was crowded by local BJP workers. As soon as the CM boarded an open jeep, decked up with flowers, he was greeted with a 'tilak' and a garland.

In the entire vicinity, songs repeating 'Jay Shree Ram' were playing. A slogan turned into a song 'Bharat Mein Rehna Hoga, Vande Mantaram Kehna Hoga' and 'Saat Din Ka Khel hai, Mard Ho Toh Saaamne Aao' were being played constantly.

As his roadshow approached, the CM removed his turban to wear a new turban by local BJP workers. Yet again, in the background, 'Bhajapa Sharanam Gacchami, Modi Kamalam Gacchami' was being played.

Class 5 students Mansi Shekhawat and Nandini Chauhan of Kishor school became very happy when the CM waved his hand to them. When asked who is Vijay Rupani, the girls said, "Rupani is Modi's best friend."

A retired government servant Mohan Gupta said, "The proposal to widen this road and clear traffic has been pending since a long time. This is a good way to showcase the narrowness of the lane. During Modi's roadshow here, there was no place to stand but today, only BJP workers were seen."

Advocate Prakash Patel who also has his office in the same lane said, "Post GST, my earning has come down to single digit. The Vikas has only happened to the rich, not people like us. There is 18% GST on plastic, said Hiralal who sells plastic items on a cart. His cart was not allowed on the road due to CM's roadshow.

At Danilimda, MP Kirit Solanki and Suresh Pasi from Amethi received the CM from the roadshow and the CM boarded another open jeep.

Groom leaves wedding to greet the CM

In a surprise to the CM, a groom Nikunj Setu, left his wedding and was seen rushing to the CM's jeep. As soon as the CM saw him, he attended him and both exchanged garlands of flowers. He said, "The CM congratulated me for my wedding."

‘CURFEW MUKT GUJARAT DUE TO BJP’

Interestingly, joining the CM at Danilimda were a group of Muslims. Mustufabhai Bidiwala, ex-president, BJP Laghumati Morcha, said, "We want BJP as during BJP's reign, women in our community feel safe." Mohammad Farooq Qureshi, another member said, "Check at Ahmedabad RTO. More than 75% people driving an auto-rickshaw are Muslims. So BJP has generated employment by creating a safer environment. Modi has ensured a curfew mukt Gujarat hence we want BJP to come."
