After top politicians and candidates in the fray in Gujarat polls ended their temple run, their supporters have started to pray to the almighty for their victory.

Supporters of BJP candidate in Rajkot West and CM Vijay Rupani started a Havan on Sunday morning, that shall continue till the counting of votes end on Monday, for his victory.

Rupani is pitched against Congress candidate Indranil Rajguru. BJP supporters want the party to win more than 150 seats in Gujarat. The counting of votes in Gujarat will begin at 8 am on Monday.

The Havan in Rajkot has been organised by the Baniya community, to which Rupani belongs. The community's Madhuram Club has invited other people to join the Havan to please the almighty for victory of Rupani.

Co-ordinator of the Club, Milan Kothari, said, "We have been praying to Lord Ganesha and Shiva through this Havan. We wish that our leader Vijay Rupani should win this polls with huge margin against Congress candidate. We are sure that our leader is going to win but we also hope that he wins with great margin that breaks all the records."

"Besides Rupani, we also expect that BJP should win in Gujarat with more than 150 seats under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. We are confident that God will shower his blessings on people who have pure heart and wish to serve the people of Gujarat and India," Kothari added.

The fight between the CM and one of the wealthiest leader this polls is neck to neck as Patel agitation and anti- incumbency can tilt the balance.
