Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti leader Hardik Patel kept his cards closed and did not reveal the future course of action, at a rally in Dholka on Monday. He was to make some big announcement on Tuesday in a press conference but skipped it. However, he addressed the rally at Transad village near Dholka in Ahmedabad district in the evening.

Addressing the gathering of more than 1,000 people, he said, "People say that I have been running an agitation to enter politics. I do not want to contest the polls. There is a stamp on my forehead that I am an agent of the Congress or BJP. I am an agent of the people. I am fighting for their right."

"Those who are ruling are laughing at us and making fun. They think we are fools and we are. They have been fooling us and we were totally oblivious. MLAs do not have any concern for public interest; they are elected and get a plot in Gandhinagar to run their own business. This is the time to wake up. Be aware, they would come to cheat you again and would lure you with some snacks but we have to take the right decision," Hardik added.

Hardik further said that the government also would suggest farmers to change crops every season so that the land does not lose its fertility. He advised that voters should change their political opinion, if they wanted to bring real change in society.

Hardik, is likely to address a press conference on Wednesday, although not declared officially. He maintained distance with his collegues Dinesh Bambhaniya and Alpesh Kathiriya after they protested against Congress leaders.
