Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel has lambasted upon Thakor Sena leader and Congress MLA Alpesh Thakor over the issue of violence against North Indians in Gujarat. Patel, while talking to media persons in Gandhinagar said that stern actions should be taken against Thakor and his colleagues for violence.

CM Vijay Rupani and Patel flagged off a special ambulance service for animals on Tuesday. The CM, however, avoided to make any statement but insisted that his deputy should talk to media persons.

When Patel was asked over the violent incidents, he said, "Actions should be taken against Alpesh Thakor by Congress. He had given the orders to Thakor Sena members to assault North Indians. His outfit indulged into violence against North Indian community in Gujarat. One should ask the victims that whom they were assaulted by and why, and that will clear the air."

"Congress has been trying to play dirty politics and misleading people of Gujarat. They have tarnished image of Gujarat at national level. Congress president Rahul Gandhi should talk to Congress leaders of Gujarat on the issue and should ask for the name behind these incident. Rahul Gandhi is giving free advice on the issue but why he does not talk to Gujarat Congress chief and leader of opposition, that is the big question," Patel added.

Patel also told that Gujarat government took sufficient actions to ensure safety and security of North Indians residing in state. He also added that Alpesh Thakor did this to take the political mileage out of it, but that was the wrong method.
