A team of Gandhinagar police has taken the main accused Yashpalsinh Solanki to New Delhi to reconstruct the crime scene in the LRD paper leak case. As part of a deep probe, the police will take the accused to all the places wherever the paper and money exchange took place.

According to the Gandhinagar police, 15 people — including Yashpalsinh Solanki, Indravadan Parmar and Rajendra Vaghela — have been arrested. Four of them have agreed to become the witnesses, police said.

The prime accused, Solanki, will be taken to the hotel, the house as well as the other places where he visited. The police will also meet each and every person he met to squeeze more clues out of the twisted network that the accused have created.

The primary investigation has revealed that a gang, based in Delhi and Gurugram, had helped the accused in leaking the LRD paper.

The paper was leaked through a mole working in the printing press, located in south India.

The police have recovered CCTV footages of the areas wherever the accused had gone and stayed in Delhi and Gurugram.

A senior police officer said the sleuths are trying to probe the gang's link by rebuilding the crime scene. It is possible to get more details about the loopholes which cops might have earlier missed.

The police, on Saturday, got hold of CCTV footages of the areas where the accused travelled and stayed while they were in Delhi and Gurugram, sources said.

They said the name of a prominent land dealer is also doing the rounds in connection with the case.

Sources said the CCTV footage clearly shows the presence of the accused in the hotel and nearby areas.

Those in the know of the case said cops are investigating if the Delhi and Gurugram-based gang that had helped the accused in the leak case are also involved in the leak of other such exams in Gujarat.

Sources said since the gang specialises in leaking competitive exam papers including government exams, it is likely that they may have been involved other cases in Gujarat.
