Gujarat Congress for legal action against complexes sans parking

Amid the ongoing traffic and parking drive of Ahmedabad police and Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, the opposition Congress has demanded action against commercial complexes that do not have parking facilities. 

State Congress spokesperson Himanshu Patel said that many complexes had encroached upon parking area after getting Building Use Permission, and sought penal measures against them. He also demanded that similar drives be undertaken in other cities, and especially in pilgrimage centres, which are thronged by lakhs of devotees.
