A complaint was lodged with the Mahila crime branch on Sunday by a 31-year-old nurse of Asarwa Civil Hospital alleging that her husband and in-laws used to harass her both, mentally and physically.

The complainant Sunita (name changed), who works as a senior nurse with the hospital. The complaint read that in the year 2010, Sunita married Amit Parmar, a resident of Narol. After the marriage, the couple had a son and started living with Parmar's parents in Narol.

As per her allegation, since a couple of months ago, Sunita's husband started coming home in a drunken state and began beating her. Parmar began extorting Sunita's salary from her to buy alcohol. When Sunita tried to confront Parmer, he took to physical abuse. To make matters worse, Parmer had the support of his family, who mentally harassed Sunita.
