The Ahmedabad police on Tuesday arrested four radio jockeys, who were booked after a CD that they hurled at a garba venue injured a child. However, they were shortly released on bail.

A four-year-old child was hurt in the eye when CDs hurled from the stage by the RJs hit him. The incident had taken place during Navratri celebrations at a garba venue on Sindhu Bhavan Road on October 12. The Vastrapur police had named RJs Devaki, Nishita, Harsh, Ayush, and Dhrumil as accused following a complaint by the child's father.

Police said that Devaki, Nishita, Harsh and Ayush were arrested this morning before being released on bail later. However, Dhrumil presented evidence before the police that he was out of town on the day, and was not present at the garba venue at the time of the incident.

"We have been given evidence that he was not present. We are looking into it," a Vastrapur police official said.

Earlier, talking with Zee 24 Kalak, Devaki expressed regret at the incident in which the child was injured. "We are very disappointed that the child was hurt," she said.

Devaki claimed that there were 20 people on the stage who were distributing the CDs, and there are no RJs in videos of the incident that are being circulated. "The police is investigating whether it was the CD that injured the child," she added.
