Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi threw a challenge to BJP and said "Do hazar Satrah, BJP Ko Khatra", meaning 2017 will be dangerous for BJP. Rahul Gandhi addressed thousands at the Janadesh Sammelan on Monday, held in Gandhinagar. The rally was held on the occasion of OBC SC ST Ekta Manch and Thakor Sena leader Alpesh Thakor joined Congress in presence of Rahul Gandhi.

Rahul Gandhi, addressing the people gathered basically from Thakor community across Gujarat state, said, "Yeh Do hazar Satrah hai, BJP ko Khatra hai. BJP tried to muzzle the voice of youth of Gujarat by force or enticing them with money. But, the youth have a louder voice. Thy will not become silent and that is the voice of Hardik Patel, Alpesh Thakor and Jignesh Mewani. This is the voice, coming from the hearts of the youth of Gujarat and that is not ordinary one. The time has come that their voice cannot be muzzled by money or pressure."

"PM Modi does his Mann ki Baat, but I am here to listen to the voice of youth of Gujarat. Whatever I can do, I will do it from the bottom of my heart. Be it the youth, the farmers, the poor or the deprived people of Gujarat. PM says he did too much for Gujarat, but I would say that whatever development is there in Gujarat, it is not because of Modi but because of your strength. It is the result of your sacrifices," Rahul Gandhi added.

Gandhi also called GST as Gabbar Singh Tax. Taking a jibe at PM Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah, the Congress leader said Modi did not utter a single word on exorbitant profits made by Shah's son Jay Shah's company. He also raised the issue of soft loans to Tata Nano Car plant and said the BJP government in Gujarat did not waive off debts on farmers.

Rahul Gandhi said the Modi-led central government has paralysed the Indian economy by GST and demonetisation. He also verbally attacked the PM and said that his Make in India and Start-up India were sheer failures.
