Dileep Sanghani declares shares of crores, Manek fond of SUVs

Former Union minister Dileep Sanghani, the BJP candidate from Dhari constituency, is an investors in stock market, while BJP candidate from Dwarka Pabubha Manek is an SUV enthusiast, reveal their poll affidavits.

Sanghani has 60,000 shares of Sun Pharma Ltd while his wife Geetaben has 24,000 shares of the same company. Put together the value of these shares are Rs 4.48 crore. Sanghani also has 6,000 shares of Sun Pharma and Research Lab Ltd as well as few shares of Reliance Power and Shanti Infrastructure Pvt Ltd. The total value of the share held by the couple is to the tune of Rs 4.82 crore. In his IT return for 2016-17, he has disclosed his income at Rs 18.63 lakh.

Manek's affidavit states he has three Toyota Fortuners, and Chevrolet Captiva, Mercedez Benz, Hyundai Santa Fe and a Mitshubishi Pajero. Interestingly, the first and the last digits of the car registration numbers are '9'. In his IT Return for 2016-17, he has disclosed an income of Rs 2.69 crore.

Jawahar Chavda, contesting for INC from Manavadar constituency, has movable properties worth Rs12.01 crore while his wife Meetaben has movable properties worth Rs3.68 crore. Their immovable properties are worth Rs 11.76 crore and Rs 28.43 crore respectively. He had disclosed his income of Rs 36.93 lakh in 2016-17, while his wife Meetaben had an income of Rs 6.69 lakh.

Shaktisinh Gohil, Congress candidate from Mandvi, has no criminal case registered against him. His movable assets are worth Rs60.53 lakh, while immovable assets are worth Rs 41.95 lakh. His income for 2016-17 was Rs 13.9 lakh.

Gitaba Jadeja, BJP candidate from Gondal and wife of convicted MLA Jayrajsinh Jadeja has movable assests worth Rs 33.55 lakh and immovable assets worth Rs 1.92 crore.

Mahendra Mashru, BJP candidate from Junagadh, had declared income of a mere Rs20,067 in 2016-17. He has movable assets worth Rs 12.34 lakh and immovable worth Rs 24.46 lakh. He has described himself as a pensioner with a monthly pension of about Rs900. His partnership business is no longer functional.

Vasan Ahir, BJP candidate from Anjar, disclosed income of Rs10 lakh. A Parliamentary secretary in the outgoing ministry, Ahir has movable properties of Rs97.29 lakh, while his wife Kankuben has movable assests worth Rs32.21 lakh. His immovable assets are worth Rs1.81 crore.
