Daughter of martyr dragged out of CM Vijay Rupani's rally

The daughter of a Kashmir martyr, Ashot Tadvi, was dragged away by police from the venue of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani's rally in Narmada district on Friday.

Tadvi was killed during an encounter with terrorists in the Valley. His daughter Rupal reportedly wanted to talk to the CM about the present condition of her family.

A video of the incident has been widely shared on social media. In the video, the CM can be seen directing the police to move Rupal to the side.

Rupal is seen trying to approach the CM several times, but police constables drag her away when the CM asks them to take her away. Rupani is clearly audible while directing the police.

"Take her to the side... Sister, I will meet you once the rally is over... My dear brothers and sister...," Rupani is heard saying in the video.

"The BJP has always served the nation amidst such situation and has great concern for the people of India and will lead in the same direction in the future as well. Rahul Gandhi say that number of unemployed persons has increased in India. I want to ask him…," Rupani is heard saying.

Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi was quick to react to the video.

"BJP's ego is at its peak. Great patriotic CM Rupaniji has brought shame upon humanity by dragging the daughter of a martyr out of his rally. The family has not got any help in the past 15 years, received hollow promises and got the elbow. Have some shame, give her justice," Rahul tweeted.
