CM Vijay Rupani to review mega industrial investment projects twice a month

The CMO office also mentioned that a separate cell would be raised in CMO constant follow-up and monitoring of ongoing and future investment projects in the state

Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani on Monday announced that he would monitor the status of the industrial investment projects of more than Rs. 500, twice a month. The chief minister had called an urgent meeting at his residence with senior ministers and officials of his government to decide the agenda on a review of the investment projects in the state.

The chief minister's office informed in a press communique that the special committee headed by CM himself is formed for this monitoring. "Besides the CM, deputy CM Nitin Patel, senior ministers Kaushik Patel, Saurabh Patel, chief secretary Dr JN Singh, chief principal secretary to CM K Kailashnathan, principal secretary to CM MK Das and secretaries of revenue, finance, road and building, forest and environment, industries and others have been included in the committee. The committee will meet on first and third Wednesdays of every month."

The CMO office also mentioned that a separate cell would be raised in CMO constant follow-up and monitoring of ongoing and future investment projects in the state. "The representations received from stakeholders for new projects or ongoing projects will be processed immediately and the government will be helpful to complete those project. The government will also facilitate such projects for formal requirements that are needed to accomplish by the government for the project implementation," the CMO further added.

The chief secretary will do the separate monitoring for the projects having the investment range of Rs 100 crore to Rs 500 crore.
