Bitcoin case: Amreli cops still on hunt for Shailesh Bhatt

The CID crime is still on the lookout for Shailesh Bhatt, the complainant in the bitcoin case who now has been accused of extorting bitcoins and cash worth Rs 155 crore from two people.

Sources in the know said on Thursday that Bhatt is likely to have fled to Chandigarh or Mumbai. "The cops have made eight teams to trace Bhatt and nine other whose name cropped up in the second extortion case in which the realtor emerged as the accused," said a source.

It should be noted that Bhatt, a Surat-based builder and realtor had been a complainant in bitcoin extortion case in which he had accused two Amreli cops of kidnapping him and extorting Rs 9 crore of bitcoins from him.
