Gujarat government has held Kapil Sibal responsible for the privatisation of education. The education minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama slammed the Congress leader as he is an advocate on behalf of private schools in Supreme Court in the case of Fees Regulation Committee Act. The act of state government was challenged by private schools in the Supreme Court that puts limit on annual fees and court gave the interim order on Thursday.

Reacting to the order education minister Chudasama said, "Congress is exposed as they pretend to protest privatisation of education on one hand and on the other hand their leader Kapil Sibal has been helping private schools in the case in supreme court. The Congress leader opposed the Gujarat government's act aimed at giving great relief to parents, taking the side of private schools in court."

"We are going to review this order soon and will act accordingly very soon. But the good side of the order is that the Supreme Court has up held the act and that will be applicable to all the boards including CBSE and ICSE too. The court has suggested several changes in the same and we will consider that," Chudasama added.
